The Path that lead me here...
My Story
The South West Coastal Path 630mile Hike 2021 & 2024
My journey began in my early twenties as a personal trainer. At the time, most people came to me wanting to change the way they looked. Like many in the fitness industry, I thought transformation started with the body. But when I began working closely with people, I quickly realised there was so much more beneath the surface. Our sessions often became less about workouts and more about life. People opened up about stress, heartbreak, anxiety, confidence, burnout, relationships, and the pressure to be “good enough.” Even though I wasn’t a therapist at the time, I could see how deeply people benefited simply from being heard, understood, and supported.
My work as a personal trainer eventually took me across the world — from training clients on Bondi Beach in Australia alongside some of the country’s leading trainers, to volunteering for a naturopathic doctor in Ottawa, Canada. It was there that I discovered EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) for the very first time. Alongside EFT, I was introduced to meditation, yoga, mindfulness, and a completely different way of understanding the connection between the body, mind, and emotions.
For the first time, I began to appreciate myself — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. Since then, life has taken me on many different paths — both internally and externally. I’ve spent 40 days in a Kundalini Ashram completing an intensive sadhana practice rooted in discipline, self-awareness, and spiritual growth. I’ve completed a 10-day Vipassana silent meditation retreat, where I learned the power of stillness and observing the mind. I’ve worked and volunteered in yoga retreats and ashrams around the world, learning from incredible teachers, communities, and experiences along the way. I’ve also learned just as much outside of retreat spaces . I’ve lived in a van that my wife Jill and I built ourselves, travelling around Ireland and embracing a slower, more intentional way of living. We’ve lived nomadically, often choosing a very different path from the one society expects.
In 2021, Jill, our dog Arnie, and I walked the entire 630-mile South West Coast Path, living in a tent for three months along the way. In 2024, we returned to do it again — this time walking 315 miles before life guided us elsewhere. Those journeys taught us more than we could ever explain fully in words. They taught us about simplicity, resilience, uncertainty, trust, connection, freedom, discomfort, and what really matters when you strip life back to the essentials. They taught us how much we carry emotionally, mentally, and spiritually — and how powerful it can be to let some of that weight go.
Throughout my own life, I’ve also navigated what it feels like not to fit the mould. Being gay, living differently, choosing alternative lifestyles, not following the “expected” path of career, home ownership, or conventional success — all of it has shaped me deeply. There were times I questioned myself, felt misunderstood, or wondered where I truly belonged. But those experiences are also what allow me to connect so deeply with others now. Because so many people are quietly carrying the feeling that they are “too much,” “not enough,” behind in life, different, lost, disconnected, or searching for something they can’t quite name.
I understand that feeling. And I also know that transformation doesn’t happen through perfection — it happens through self-awareness, compassion, nervous system safety, and learning to reconnect with yourself in a genuine way. Today, I’m a certified EFT Practitioner through the EFT Training Centre, a motivational speaker, and someone who brings together everything I’ve learned through fitness, emotional wellbeing, mindfulness, energy work, personal growth, and lived experience. The Law of Attraction and the teachings of Abraham Hicks have also been a huge inspiration in my life and continue to influence the way I work and live. I believe our thoughts, emotions, energy, and beliefs shape far more of our experience than we often realise.
Everything I offer today is a reflection of the path I’ve walked myself.
Not because I have all the answers — but because I know what it feels like to search for them.If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, emotionally exhausted, different, or unsure of your next step… you’re not alone. And you don’t have to navigate it alone either.
My Story
Stephen Ball - Online Coaching
"I have known Rachel for over ten years, and for the past 12 weeks she has been working with me as my wellness coach.
Even in this relatively short time, the impact she has had on my life has been huge. She has helped me start to see real value in myself and given me practical tools to get on top of my anxieties, instead of feeling like they control me.
Our sessions have genuinely changed my outlook. I feel calmer, more grounded and far more positive about the future. One of the biggest improvements has been my sleep. With Rachel’s support and guidance I have finally settled into a healthy sleep pattern, which has made a massive difference to my energy and mood day to day.
Rachel has also provided really effective strategies for managing my thoughts, emotions and habits. These are not one off tips but things I can keep using and adapting, and they have played a big part in the big increase in my overall happiness since working with her. On top of that she has helped rebuild my confidence about returning to the gym, which was a big source of anxiety for me before.
What I appreciate most is that Rachel combines warmth and empathy with clear, practical guidance. I feel listened to and understood, but I also feel gently challenged to grow.
I am genuinely grateful for the changes I have seen in myself in just 12 weeks and I would happily recommend her as a wellness coach to anyone who wants to improve their mental wellbeing, confidence and quality of life."

No two sessions are ever the same, with a great variety of exercises that keep things interesting and motivating.
Her positive attitude, encouragement, and genuine passion for helping clients succeed make her an absolute pleasure to train with.
I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, adaptable, and inspiring personal trainer. She has many different aspects to her training - which makes every session interesting .
She is also very flexible with session timings which is huge help when working full time."
Charlie Sudding - Online Coaching
"Working with Rachel has genuinely been nothing short of transformative. She has such a calm, grounded way of guiding me through things , I feel heard, understood, and supported, but also challenged in exactly the right moments.
Nothing about Rachels approach feels generic, everything is tailored, thoughtful, and purposeful, she goes above and beyond for her clients.
One thing that sets her apart is the weekly notes she sends after each session. They’re incredibly detailed and helpful, not just a recap, but real insights and reflections that I can go back to when I need grounding or clarity. Having those written notes makes the progress feel tangible, and it’s something I’ve never experienced.
Every session leaves me with a sense of direction and confidence, and I can honestly say I’m a better version of myself because of the work we’re doing.
If you’re considering working with her, do it. She brings out the best in you."
Valia Abe - EFT
"I met Rachel at the perfect time, after many years of self help practices that led me nowhere, I spotted Rachel’s Facebook post and jumped into her DMs as fast as possible, the practices that she offers were something I had been looking into, and boy am I so glad I did.
Rachel is a beautiful soul, who leads with kindness and gentleness, she creates a space of safety and acceptance, our sessions of EFT are something I look forward too and they had helped me immensely, not only to dig deeper into who I am, but also why I fall into some habits, Rachel’s approach with humour, honouring my feelings and words as well as offering a different perspective have often times made me think outside the box and keep analysing and moving forward in my day to day life.
I am very grateful that our paths crossed and I took the leap to seek an outside guide to unlock my potential. I think everyone should try EFT and gather tools for them to reveal themselves, as well as help in times of anxiety. The tools that Rachel has so profoundly shared with me, will follow me for the rest of my life and I am even implementing with my children.
Thanks Rachel, for the wonderful journey we are travelling together and for your acceptance, patience and positive energy. "
